What is the CS2 Case Opening Simulator?
The CS2 Case Opening Simulator is a free web-based tool that lets you experience opening Counter-Strike 2 cases without spending real money. It simulates the case opening mechanics using authentic drop rates and probabilities from the actual game.
Is this simulator free to use?
Yes! The simulator is completely free to use. You don't need to spend any real money or make any purchases. All cases, capsules, and keys are virtual and provided at no cost. There are no daily limits, no deposits, no withdrawals, and no hidden fees.
Can I get real CS2 skins from this simulator?
No, this is a simulator only. The items you receive are virtual and cannot be transferred to your real CS2 inventory or traded. This tool is designed for entertainment and to help you understand case opening probabilities before spending real money in the game.
Are the drop rates accurate to the real CS2 game?
Yes, we use the official drop rates disclosed by Valve in 2017 for Chinese regulations. The simulator faithfully recreates the same odds you would encounter when opening cases in the actual game: 79.92% Mil-Spec (Blue), 15.98% Restricted (Purple), 3.20% Classified (Pink), 0.64% Covert (Red), and 0.26% Knife/Gloves (Gold).
Where do your odds come from?
Our drop rates come from Valve's official disclosure in 2017 when China required loot box odds transparency. These rates have been verified by extensive community testing and apply to all CS2 weapon cases. For souvenir packages and sticker capsules, we use community-verified data following the "5x rule" where each tier is approximately 5 times rarer than the previous.
Is there a pity timer in CS2 cases?
No, there is no pity timer or "bad luck protection" in CS2 cases. Each case opening is completely independent. Opening 385 cases does NOT guarantee a knife - you could open 1,000 cases without one, or get two knives in a row. This is how real CS2 cases work, and our simulator replicates this behavior exactly.
Do I need to create an account?
No account is required to use the simulator. You can start opening cases immediately. Your inventory and progress are saved locally in your browser.
What types of cases and capsules are available?
The simulator includes all major CS2 cases, sticker capsules, souvenir packages, and autograph capsules. Popular cases include the Dreams & Nightmares Case, Recoil Case, Fracture Case, and Kilowatt Case. We regularly update our database to include new cases as they are released in the game.
How does the inventory system work?
Every item you unbox is automatically added to your virtual inventory. You can view all your collected items on the inventory page. Your inventory is saved in your browser's local storage, so it persists between sessions on the same device.
What are the different rarity tiers?
CS2 items come in several rarity tiers: Consumer Grade (white), Industrial Grade (light blue), Mil-Spec (blue), Restricted (purple), Classified (pink), Covert (red), and Exceedingly Rare (gold/knife). Each tier has different drop probabilities, with rarer items being much harder to obtain.
Can I reset my inventory?
Yes, you can reset your inventory by clearing your browser's local storage for this site. This will remove all saved data including your opened cases and collected items.
Does the simulator work on mobile devices?
Yes! The simulator is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. You can open cases and view your inventory on any device with a modern web browser.
Why use a case opening simulator?
A case opening simulator helps you understand the odds and probabilities before spending real money. It`'`s a great way to experience the excitement of case opening, test your luck, and see what items are available without financial risk. Try opening cases like the Operation Riptide Case or Shattered Web Case to see what skins you might get!
How often is the simulator updated?
We regularly update the simulator to include new cases, capsules, and items as they are released in Counter-Strike 2. We also make improvements to the user interface and functionality based on user feedback.
Is my data safe and private?
Yes. All your inventory data is stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. We don't collect personal information or track individual case opening activities. We use basic analytics to understand overall site usage and improve the experience, but your inventory and preferences remain entirely on your device.
Do you use cookies?
We use minimal cookies for basic site functionality and analytics. Your virtual inventory is stored in IndexedDB (browser storage), not cookies. We do not use cookies to track your case opening results or share data with third parties.
Can this simulator affect my Steam account?
No. This simulator has no connection to Steam or your Steam account. We never ask for Steam login credentials, we don't use Steam OpenID, and there is no way for this site to interact with your real CS2 inventory. You cannot get VAC banned from using this simulator.
Do Doppler phases and patterns match the real game?
Yes, our simulator accurately generates Doppler phases (Phase 1-4, Ruby, Sapphire, Black Pearl) and Gamma Doppler phases (Phase 1-4, Emerald) with correct probabilities. Pattern-based finishes like Fade percentages and Case Hardened patterns are also simulated to match in-game behavior.
How are prices calculated?
Item prices are aggregated from multiple third-party CS2 skin marketplaces. We calculate a median price across all major trading platforms for each item and update prices daily. Note that displayed prices are estimates and may differ from actual sale prices due to float values, patterns, and trading fees. Prices are shown for reference only since this simulator awards virtual items.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
If you clear your browser's local storage or cookies, you will lose your saved inventory and progress. Make sure to avoid clearing site data if you want to keep your virtual items.
Can I suggest new features?
We welcome feedback and suggestions! While we can't guarantee implementation of every request, we actively consider user feedback when planning updates and improvements to the simulator.
